Netgeniums Door Entry solution is entiely network based. Each panel is powered from PoE and configured with a web browser an extension to an existing IP Telephony system work as a stand alone door entry system.
When configured to work as part of an IP telephony system, the panels register with and become part of the system. The call button on the panel can then be configured to call an existing directory number on the telephony system. This has the advantage of allowing the telephony system to field the call, features such as Hunt Groups, Time of Day Routing and Forward No Answer can be used to ensure the call is handled promptly.
The door can then be opened from either a PC application or via the telephone handset.
If integration with IP telephony is not required the panel can be configured to make an audio call to a PC running the CallPoint application. The call is then handled using the microphone and speakers of the PC and the door opened with the CallPoint application.
