The Netgenium Biometric Reader can be used as a complimentary addition to the existing access control solution, used in locations where traditional credentials are not suitable or as exclusivly biometric access control solution.
In addition to access control, finger print templates can be used by PolicyServer as 'Biometric Functions'. This provides the ability to associate more than one template with a single user and using this data as triggers to different rules in the policy rulebase.
For example the index finger of the right hand could be used for normal access control and any other nominated finger could be configured to lock down the building and turn out the lights.
