IP Audio Paging
Overview ImplementationIllustrationProduct Portfolio

Netgenium developed their first audio public address system out of frustration at the lack of a LAN based paging system capable of integrating with IP telephony. The origional speakers were the first in the industry to have an embedded audio amplifier, powered from PoE.

The ability to connect each speaker direct to the LAN greatly simplified the installation process, requiring only a Cat5e/Cat6 outlet and PoE source. Once installed the telephony integration was a configuration exercise, registering the speakers with the telephony server. Once registered the speakers became instanly accessable from the telephony handsets.

The latest generation of speakers, the ASP7001-IP and the ASP7002-IP are the first speakers to added to the PolicyServer object database. The speakers are a powerful addition to the PolicyServer rulebase, allowing the audio solution to interact seemlessly with the other available Netgenium solutions. This enables inputs, events and time schedules to trigger automated, static and dynamic announcements.
