The network is used as the platform for communication between the security end points (lock controllers and readers) and PolicyServer, the central management platform.

The real benefit of using the network as a common platform, however, is the interoperability between physical access control and other network based applications to deliver true integrated security.

The Netgenium solution integrates physical access control with IP telephony, IP audio devices, IP CCTV and IP Lighting control to bring to life the promise of the connected building.
